Festival
Dates: November 6-8, 2009
Pornotopia is Albuquerque's Independent Erotic Film Festival hosted
by Self Serve Sexuality Resource Center and The Guild Cinema. This
is the one and only festival of its kind in the Southwest. Pornotopia
aims to celebrate filmmakers who aren't afraid to keep it real,
when mainstream porn fails to satisfy. Pornotopia showcases sex
on the big screen that is healthy, tender, raw, real and beautiful.
In Pornotopia sex is fun, everyone gets off, and pleasure is paramount.
Entry
fees & deadline:
- There will be a $10 entry fee for each filmmaker/film unless
you've been featured in Pornotopia during previous festivals
- Please send any email inquiries or digital submissions to info@selfservetoys.com
with "Pornotopia Submissions 2009" in subject line
- All submissions are due May 15, 2009 (if you wish to submit
and need more time, please let us know)
Confirmation
Please enclose a stamped, self-addressed postcard or envelope if you
wish to receive confirmation that your entry has been received. We
will only send confirmations if this is included. Selection
and notification
Programming decisions are made by a committee after review. Screening
committee film selections will be determined by August 1st and we
will notify all filmmakers, via e-mail, which films have been selected.
A full schedule of the festival, including exact screening times,
will be sent out in October. If accepted, the print of your film,
or presentation video, will need to be received at our mailing address
by October 1st. Once a work is submitted for entry, it may not be
withdrawn.
Selections will either be shown as excerpts or features. Excerpts
will be selected by committee and shown within showcase of a theme.
Shorts may also be entered for consideration for showcases. Possible
showcase themes could be: Kink, Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans, Orgasm,
Women Directors, Squirting, BDSM, Gay Cowboys, New Mexico Filmmakers,
Funny, Fat Positive, Classic, or possibly a genre you suggest for
your piece.

Shipping
Cost of shipping exhibition prints to the festival, and any related
customs and insurance, is the responsibility of the entrant. Exhibition
copies must be sent to the festival prepaid. All film reels, cans,
videotapes and cases must be labeled with the title of the entry.
Self Serve will cover return ground shipping via US Mail.
Return
of submission tapes
Submission videos and DVDs will not be returned.

Submission
agreement
By entering your film or video for consideration, you attest that
you are legally authorized to submit the work to Self Serve and
that all necessary releases, licenses and records have been obtained
with respect thereto. If your work is accepted, you expressly grant
Self Serve the non-exclusive right and license to exhibit and utilize
your film/video as described in the festival rules, and to use it
and all related publicity materials for promotional purposes for
the festival.
