WARTENBERG WHEEL

The Wartenberg Wheel was designed for medical use to test nerve endings, but with its 22 tiny, poky spikes, it's one of our favorite "pervertibles."

 

Oh-so-gently trace devious, tickly, prickly patterns on your partner’s skin and watch the writhing, twisting, turning and blushing.  Pair it with a violet wand and a body probe to electrify your play.  Use a blindfold to intensify the sensations.  The Wartenberg Wheel can be used gently or firmly for more painful sensations. Put it in hot or cold water and play with varying sensations and temperatures.  Our Wartenberg wheels are all metal.  The spikes are definitely sharp, so tread lightly!

 

 

Metal is sterilizable but, the spikes on the Wartenberg wheel are really tiny and close together.  Normally, you can wash metal for 3 minutes in warm soapy water or rubbing alcohol to sterilize, but you might need to scrub a little with something that gets between the spikes to get all the nooks and crannies.  These are sharp, so if you break the skin with them, make sure to sterilize it well, or decide that toy simply belongs to person whose blood it was.
