Multilingual a plus.

Starting rate of pay: $13/hr

Job Description:

Reports to: Senior Staff

Status: Part-time position (approx. 10 hrs) and flex-time for additional coverage

Organizational Intent:

To provide sex-positive, pleasure-focused, inclusive, and medically accurate sex education and excellent customer service to our community.

Position Summary:

Sex educators/sales associates provide our customers with education and information about products, lingerie etc. and they make sales. They also complete essential daily tasks such as receiving, shipping web orders, cleaning/ merchandising the store, and additional tasks as needed.

Essential Functions:

Provide customers with education and customer service

Create and maintain a space that is safe, welcoming and affirming for all members of our community

Open & close the store

Complete Daily and Monthly tasks. Seasonal and special projects during slower times will be a part of this position.

Other responsibilities:

Business and office management skills are a plus. 

Knowledge & Skills Needed:

Strong commitment to social justice & intersectional feminism

Strong active listening & direct communication skills

Excellent customer service skills

Knowledge of Self Serve’s products, classes, and lingerie

Ability to work well both independently and cooperatively

Small business understanding and experience is a bonus

Technical Skills Needed:

Familiarity with LightSpeed after training, Google Drive, OpenOffice, Pages, & other relevant computer programs
